| This week, the Lexington Park Lions Club joins a national movement to recognize, support, and uplift two critical pillars of our mission: education and community well-being. As we mark several key observances, we call on our neighbors, partners, and members to take action - together. 📚 Celebrating Education and Future Leaders Monday, November 17 is International Students’ Day, recognizing the power of education in shaping tomorrow’s leaders. From November 17-21, we also observe American Education Week, a time to honor the dedication of teachers, support staff, and administrators who make quality learning possible in our schools. Education remains a cornerstone of Lions Club service. We encourage everyone to show appreciation - send a note to a teacher, support student initiatives, or explore mentorship opportunities. 🍽️ Confronting Hunger and Homelessness November 16-22 marks Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Food insecurity and housing instability impact families right here in St. Mary’s County. As Lions, we remain committed to addressing these urgent needs through year-round partnerships and outreach. We ask the community to join us - support a local food pantry, contribute winter gear for those in need, or take part in upcoming service drives. Community Call-to-Action We invite all Lexington Park area residents to be part of the solution. Whether it’s volunteering at a school, donating to a food-security partner, or simply extending kindness to someone in need, your action matters. Let’s demonstrate what it means to be Lions in Service - this week and every week. Join the Lexington Park Lions Club Are you passionate about making a difference?
