Lexington Park Lions Club – December Observances & Community Message

As we move through December, the Lexington Park Lions Club recognizes several meaningful observances that align with our mission of service, connection, and compassion.

Key Day Observances:

December 9 – National Christmas Card Day
A thoughtful reminder to reach out to friends, neighbors, and loved ones. A simple card can brighten someone’s day and remind them they’re not alone.

December 10 – Human Rights Day
A global day honoring dignity, inclusion, and equality—values that reflect the heart of our service. It’s a time to reaffirm our commitment to building a welcoming and respectful community for all.

December 12 – National Ding-a-Ling Day
A light-hearted day with a heartfelt purpose: reconnect with someone you haven't spoken to in a while. A friendly check-in could make a big difference in someone’s life.

Active Week/Month Observances:

National Handwashing Awareness Week (Dec 7–13)
A vital reminder that simple hygiene practices help keep our community healthy—especially during cold and flu season.

Universal Human Rights Month (Dec 1–31)
Throughout December, we reflect on the importance of fairness, access, and respect for all individuals. Let’s continue to build an inclusive community, one act of kindness at a time.

Community Call to Action:
Support a neighbor this week—check in, deliver a card, or offer a small act of service. Together, we make our community stronger.
