This week, the Lexington Park Lions Club is proud to highlight several meaningful opportunities to support health, education, and community service.

January 12 – National Pharmacist Day
Pharmacists play a vital role in our healthcare system, ensuring safe medication practices and supporting community wellness. Join us in recognizing the dedication of these essential health professionals who help keep our families healthy and informed.

January 12 – National 4th Graders Day
We also celebrate the energy, curiosity, and potential of our 4th-grade students. Supporting early education is one of the most impactful ways to build a strong future for our community. Let’s take a moment to encourage young learners and the teachers guiding them every day.

January 13 – Stephen Foster Memorial Day
Known as the "father of American music," Stephen Foster’s legacy reminds us of the power of music in bringing communities together. Consider supporting local school music programs or community arts initiatives to honor this cultural heritage.

Active Observance: Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week (January 7–14)
This national observance reminds us to learn the signs of congenital heart defects and support efforts to improve heart health for children and adults alike. Early detection and education can save lives.

The Lexington Park Lions Club encourages everyone to show appreciation for local pharmacists, support students and educators, and raise awareness for heart health. Community strength begins with informed, connected, and compassionate neighbors.

Thank a volunteer. Support a school. Appreciate a healthcare hero. Together, we serve.
