Now is a good time to charge phones, power banks, and medical devices. Check flashlights and battery supplies. Keep your vehicle’s gas tank topped off in case of power loss or emergency travel.

3. Double-Check Medications
Ensure prescriptions and over-the-counter medications are refilled ahead of the storm. Running out mid-storm can create unnecessary risks, especially for those managing chronic conditions.

4. Don’t Forget Pets and Outdoor Animals
Pick up extra food and basic supplies for your pets. Provide outdoor animals with adequate shelter, bedding, and access to fresh, unfrozen water.

5. Ready Your Snow and Ice Equipment
Gather your shovels, ice melt, and any traction aids now. Plan ahead for clearing walkways and driveways after the storm — safely and without overexertion.

6. Expect Hazardous Travel Conditions
