Tick Tock Day (December 29) serves as a reminder that time is one of the most valuable gifts we can offer. Whether through volunteering, mentoring, or simple acts of kindness, every moment spent helping others strengthens our community.
New Year’s Day (January 1) marks a fresh beginning. As we enter 2026, the Lexington Park Lions recommit to serving our neighbors through programs that support health, vision, hunger relief, and community well-being.
On January 4, World Braille Day, we recognize the importance of accessibility and literacy for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Vision awareness remains a cornerstone of Lions service worldwide, and our club continues to support initiatives that promote independence and inclusion.
Month-Long Observances
January also brings awareness to issues that affect many families locally and nationally.
National Poverty in America Awareness Month highlights the ongoing need for food security and basic necessities.
National Winter Safety Month reminds us to look out for one another during colder weather, especially seniors and vulnerable neighbors.
How You Can Help
The Lexington Park Lions Club invites community members to begin the year with purpose. Donations of food, winter supplies, and time all make a meaningful difference. Volunteering with the Lions is also a great way to turn compassion into action while building lasting connections.
Together, we look forward to another year of service, partnership, and positive impact. |
